Our sponsorship of Future Energy Wales

Future Energy Wales is the flagship conference organised by RenewableUK Cymru that attracts hundreds of delegates from across Wales and beyond. Boasting a high profile in the sector, it has a strong track record of participation and support by Welsh Government, including from relevant Ministers.

This year is no exception; the keynote speech is to be given by Vaughan Gething MS, Minister for the Economy.

Hiraeth Energy and Magnora Offshore Wind are delighted to be sponsoring the session following Vaughan Gething’s speech. Entitled ‘Getting the technology right’, the session will focus on how developers can select and optimise the right components for successful project development. The session will be influenced by what we hear from Vaughan Gething, requiring panel participants to react quickly to any statements from the Minister.

The Mor Glas and Mor Gwyrdd projects will be represented by Matt Gready of Magnora Offshore Wind. Matt has worked on a range of offshore projects, and is well placed to consider how different technologies are developing, and what the key selection criteria are likely to be.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Joseph Kidd of Hiraeth Energy said:

“It’s a pleasure to be able to support this important event. The Partnership of Hiraeth Energy with Magnora Offshore Wind is strongly aligned to develop projects of real value for Wales.

“Our project team will be attending to provide further details about our approach, and we look forward to sharing our concepts and values with regulators and developers from across Wales and beyond.”
