What is floating offshore wind?
Floating offshore wind is a rapidly-developing technology that allows existing and proven offshore wind systems to be deployed at much greater depths and distances from shore. This reduces the visual impact and opens up the possibility of far greater deployments of very low-carbon electricity.
How are you ensuring the environment is protected?
We are taking advice and guidance from Natural Resources Wales, as well as environmental protection groups, to ensure that we align ourselves as closely as possible with the best understanding of the risks or benefits to nature from different approaches.
How can my company get involved?
We are planning a comprehensive supply chain strategy and intend to maximise the opportunities for Wales-based suppliers where possible.
When will the projects be operational?
We estimate that the projects will be connected and start delivering electricity in 2030.
